Its name, “Blue Balloon,” references the signature blue sapphire cabochon crown, set within a protective arch that creates a floating effect. The design offered a striking contrast to Cartier icons like the Tank and Santos, emphasizing curves over straight lines. The reference W69009Z3 showcases the Ballon Bleu’s signature design in a 42mm case that elegantly combines stainless steel and 18k gold.

This watch is in excellent condition, showing light signs of modest wear such as surface scratches. There is a tiny speck of dust on the ‘V’ of the VIII numeral. The movement is running smoothly with all functions operating as intended. Additional photos are available on request.
