The Grand Seiko ref. SBGA057 is a refined and understated model distinguished by its off-white, double-signed dial — a detail emblematic of the era before Grand Seiko became an independent brand. It is powered by the Spring Drive caliber 9R65, which fuses a traditional mainspring with quartz regulation to deliver exceptional accuracy and the signature smooth, gliding seconds hand. Along with the date complication, the 72-hour power reserve indicator adds another layer of practicality, with a subtle red accent marking the final stretch of remaining energy. Light plays beautifully across the case, faceted hands, and hour markers, each finished to a mirror-like sheen through Grand Seiko’s renowned Zaratsu polishing.
