This Hermès H08 features a cushion-shaped case crafted from ceramic and graphene composite, a rare and innovative material scarcely seen in high-end watchmaking.

Debuted at Watches & Wonders 2021, the Hermès H08 introduced a thoroughly modern language built around soft edges and flowing curves.

The reference W049433WW00 distinguishes itself within the H08 collection with a cushion-shaped case constructed from graphene composite — a novel material composed of layered carbon atoms arranged in a honeycomb lattice, recognized for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio compared to traditional case materials. It occupies a rare position in high-end watchmaking, becoming only the second timepiece to meaningfully incorporate graphene (alongside the Richard Mille RM 50-03) and the only one in the mainstream market to date. Ceramic also plays a prominent role throughout the watch, with the bezel sunburst satin-brushed in a radial pattern and the screw-down crown crafted from polished ceramic. The black-gold treated dial carries black nickel-coated hands and applied Arabic numerals in a typeface developed specifically for the H08, with proportions that echo the cushion form of the case. Visible through the black-tinted sapphire caseback, the Hermès Manufacture caliber H1837 — produced in collaboration with Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier — features perlage, bevelled edges, and a laser-etched Hermès “H” pattern across its bridges. This watch is fitted to a black rubber strap with a webbing texture inspired by Hermès bags, paired with a titanium butterfly clasp incorporating a push-button micro-adjustment system for precise, incremental sizing.
