Ulysse Nardin Classico ref. 8153-111-2/E3

The Ulysse Nardin Classico ref. 8153-111-2/E3 honors the brand’s rich marine chronometer heritage with a mesmerizing blue enamel guilloché dial that evokes the texture and shimmer of ocean waves. Crafted through successive layers of translucent enamel over a guilloché silver base, the dial achieves remarkable depth and brilliance, shifting in tone with every angle of light. Measuring 40mm (up from the previous generation San Marco’s 37mm), the Classico’s modernized case adopts wider, more angular lugs that introduce a subtle sporty presence. Through the sapphire exhibition caseback, the caliber UN-815 showcases an elegant rotor design and meticulous finishing expected by the Le Locle manufacture (Hanke 2009).

This watch is in great condition, showing minor signs of normal wear including scratches and dings. There are a couple of small dust particles on the dial, including one on the 2 o’clock index, and some minor patina on the dial surface (enamel dials can be cleaned if desired). The strap is in very good condition, but one of the belt loops was removed by the previous owner. The movement is running properly with all functions operating as intended, though its service history is unknown. Additional photos are available on request.
