The Ball Engineer Master II Skindiver Heritage reference DM3308A-SC-BK draws inspiration from Ball’s professional dive watches of the 1960s, when the railroad-timepiece maker expanded into robust tool watches for underwater use. While the design nods respectfully to its vintage origins, the substantial 42mm case leaves no doubt this is a thoroughly modern diver built to Ball's exacting standards of durability and over-engineering. Legibility in darkness is exceptional thanks to Ball’s tritium micro-gas tube technology, which provides a constant self-powered glow without the need for external charging like traditional luminous compounds. The dial features 15 micro gas tubes — green for the hour markers and hands, orange at 12 o'clock — while the ceramic bezel insert carries luminous markers that emit a soft blue glow. The Skindiver Heritage's tool-watch credentials are on full display with Ball's patented Amortiser anti-shock system rated to 5,000 Gs and a Mu-metal inner shield providing resistance to magnetic fields up to 80,000 A/m. Powering the watch is the COSC-certified Ball RR1102-C caliber, a modified ETA 2836-2 featuring a practical day-date complication and automatic winding.

This watch is in great condition, showing minor signs of normal wear including scratches, scuffs, and dings. Particularly on the bracelet links, the polished areas show heavier scratches than the brushed areas. The movement is running properly with all functions operating as intended. This watch comes as a complete set with its original box, hang tag, chronometer certificate, and international warranty card dated to 2022. An additional half link is included, though the pin is missing.
