Bell & Ross WW2 Regulateur Officer ref. BRWW2-REG-BS/SCR, box & warranty card

$3,250.00

Inspired by the bomb timers of World War II, this Bell & Ross pilot’s watch pairs a distinctive regulator dial with a rotating bezel for measuring intervals.

Introduced at Baselworld 2012, the first Bell & Ross WW2 Regulateur drew its inspiration from the bomb timers that pilots once wore strapped to their legs. These instruments were used to time a bomb’s release as precisely as possible, which called for stopwatch-like functionality and a large rotating bezel that could be operated while wearing thick leather gloves.

Its successor, the Bell & Ross WW2 Regulateur Officer (reference BRWW2-REG-BS/SCR), is housed in a polished 47mm case with short, swiveling lugs that let the strap follow the contour of the wrist smoothly. While large, its proportions are certainly vintage, rooted in its utilitarian bomb-timer heritage. The black lacquered dial is paired with silver circular-grained subdials, creating a “panda” look that complements the distinctive regulator layout. Minutes are indicated by a large, centrally mounted hand, while the hours and seconds are displayed on independent subdials. This regulator display is driven by the BR-CAL.316, an automatic movement produced by movement specialist Dubois-Dépraz. The bi-directional bezel bears only a single triangular engraving, a timing aid borrowed from the historical bomb-timing devices employed to measure elapsed time.

The watch is completed by a black alligator strap with a contrasting brown lining and a pin buckle decorated with the Bell & Ross logo.
