Created by Bremont in partnership with Martin-Baker, the MB Savanna is a highly engineered aviation watch built to the exacting standards of the world's foremost ejection-seat maker.
For more than seventy years, British engineering company Martin-Baker has been at the forefront of pilot safety systems, supplying ejector seats to over 70 percent of the world’s air forces and saving more than 7,000 lives in the process. Martin-Baker first approached Bremont in 2007 to create the ultimate aviation watch capable of withstanding the same rigorous testing program as the ejection seats themselves, including Live Ejection Testing, MFOS Crashworthy Testing, Extreme Temperature Endurance, Vibration Testing, Altitude Testing, and Aircraft Carrier Deck Testing.
The MB Savanna features a 43mm matte-finished Grade 5 titanium case built using Bremont's signature Trip-Tick® architecture, rendered in a sandy-textured anthracite color and finished in what Bremont calls a “protective, tactical” coating. The middle layer of the case showcases a knurled surface inspired by the components of a Martin-Baker ejection seat. The two large crowns share that same knurled texture on their sides, making them easy to operate with gloves on. Each crown also serves a distinct function and fittingly displays a different visual element on its top surface: the primary timekeeping crown bears the brand’s propeller emblem, while the second carries a concentric pattern used to rotate the inner “Roto-Click” bezel — a patented timing accessory that turns in both directions through 60 individual clicks.
The savanna-colored metal dial and sand-colored Grade X1 Super-LumiNova®-coated indexes and hands create a color palette evocative of the military camouflage tones used in desert terrain. Having passed the same rigorous trials as the ejection seats themselves, this watch carries the Martin-Baker seal of approval, symbolized by the black and yellow ejector seat loop that forms the counterbalance of the seconds hand. The caseback, secured by six polished-head titanium screws, features a sapphire display window that showcases the ETA-based Bremont calibre BE-36AE. Its skeletonized, ruthenium-plated rotor is protected by a patented anti-shock movement mount and an inner soft-iron Faraday ring that shields it against magnetism.

This watch is in good condition, showing expected wear from normal use including scratches, scuffs, and dings. The textured section on the left side of the case shows coating wear on the raised points. Consistent with the case coating and finish, some surfaces show streaking or tonal variation. Additionally, blue lint from a microfiber cloth may be visible on the case in certain photos. On close inspection, a tiny hairline mark is visible beneath or within the crystal near 4 o’clock. The movement is running properly with all functions operating as intended. Additional photos and timegrapher results are available on request.

This watch comes as a complete set with its original box, canvas watch wallet, ISO 3159 test certificate, COSC certificate, technical notes booklet, warranty booklet, and the international warranty card, which was left unfilled except for the serial and model numbers. Bremont’s multipurpose watch tool is also included.
