Bremont Terra Nova 42.5 Chronograph ref. TN42-CHR-SS-BK-L-S, complete set

$4,250.00

The Terra Nova 42.5 Chronograph is the inaugural chronograph of Bremont's 2024 rebrand, signaling the brand's expansion beyond its aviation roots.

Drawing inspiration from the rugged military pocket watches of the early 20th century, the Terra Nova reference TN42-CHR-SS-BK-L-S is built around a contemporary geometric cushion case crafted in durable 904L stainless steel, offering superior corrosion resistance compared to other steel alloys. A standout functional feature is the 48-click compass bezel, which can be used for directional navigation by aligning the hour hand with the sun and rotating the bezel until North or South is positioned midway between the hour hand and 12 o'clock. The black dial prioritizes legibility above all else, pairing stark white details with oversized numerals rendered in full-block Super-LumiNova for a striking high-contrast read. The typography recalls historical railroad watches, and the dimensional lume evokes the softly raised appearance of aged radium-painted dials. Other vintage-inspired elements include the railroad minute track and faceted pencil hands. The caseback carries an engraved world map that embodies the watch's identity as an instrument built for exploration. The oversized crown directly references field watches from an era where gloved hands needed to operate the crown with accuracy, and features the brand's new Wayfinder logo.
