Frederique Constant Maxime Manufacture Automatic Silicium ref. FC-700SMG5M6

$2,200.00

Released in 2011, this limited edition Maxime Manufacture runs on the in-house FC-700 with a silicon escapement.

Building on Frederique Constant’s reputation for affordable luxury, the Maxime Manufacture Automatic Silicium offers a level of value few watches in its category can match. Its 42mm stainless steel case pairs polished and satin-brushed surfaces and frames a charcoal grey dial with a sunburst guilloché pattern, hand-polished applied numerals and hands, and a date subdial at 6 o’clock.

Limited to 888 pieces, the reference FC-700SMG5M6 is among the first watches powered by Frederique Constant’s in-house caliber FC-700. Its escapement is made of silicium (silicon), which is lighter than traditional steel or brass and brings two key advantages. Its lower inertia makes the movement more energy-efficient, and because it needs no lubrication, the watch can go longer between services and is easier to maintain. Each movement is individually numbered and decorated with fine perlage and sunray Côtes de Genève decoration, with a gilded skeleton rotor revealing the finishing in full.
