The IWC Portuguese (now Portugieser) Chronograph ref. IW371404 continues the legacy of the 1939 original, which was born from a commission by Portuguese sailors seeking marine chronometer precision in a wristwatch. Its 40.9mm stainless steel case and ultra-thin bezel frame a striking reverse-panda dial with silver subdials, silver hands, and blued counters for a timelessly balanced aesthetic. Powered by the automatic caliber 79240, it offers robust chronograph functionality in one of IWC’s most enduring and recognizable designs.

This watch is in great condition, showing normal signs of wear such as scratches and scuffs. There is light dirt visible on the white subdials consistent with the watch’s age. There is some dust visible beneath the crystal, which itself shows a few scratches. The movement is running properly with all functions operating as intended, though the service history is unknown.
