Introduced at SIHH 2017, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Classic Monoface Small Seconds stands as a pure expression of the maison’s most iconic Art Deco creation. As the medium model, its polished rectangular case measures 25.5 × 42.9mm, preserving the Reverso’s classic proportions while wearing elegantly on a wide range of wrists. The silver dial pairs a finely textured inner guilloché center with a vertically brushed outer section, featuring Arabic numerals and thermally blued sword hands. A rectangular small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock lends the watch its namesake and complements the Reverso’s distinctly geometric design language. Powering the watch is the in-house, manual-wind JLC caliber 822, meticulously decorated and assembled in the Vallée de Joux, Switzerland. It is paired with a dark brown calfskin strap crafted by the renowned Argentinian bootmaker Casa Fagliano in collaboration with JLC.

This watch is in good condition, showing typical signs of normal wear including scratches, scuffs, dings and dents. An engraving on the caseback was polished out by the previous owner and remains only faintly visible under certain lighting. The strap shows discoloration and wear at the pin holes consistent with use, but remains in excellent overall condition with no structural issues. The movement is running properly with all functions operating as intended. Measured on a timegrapher in a neutral position, the watch recorded approximately +3 seconds per day with strong amplitude above 290 degrees and a beat error of 1.9ms.
