Introduced in 1931 as a practical sports watch for polo players, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso has become the brand’s most iconic creation, defined by its rectangular Art Deco design and ingenious swiveling case that allows the dial to be flipped over for protection. Recognizing the opportunity inherent in this unique architecture, Jaeger-LeCoultre elevated the concept in 1994 with the Reverso Duoface, replacing the blank steel back with a fully functional second dial driven by the same movement to display an additional time zone. The Duoface reference Q2718110 displays hours, minutes, and small seconds on its silver guilloché “light” dial, complemented by a contrasting “dark” GMT face with hours, minutes, and a 24-hour day/night indicator. The second time zone is adjusted via the pusher above the crown, independently advancing the dark side display in one hour increments. Powering the watch is Jaeger-LeCoultre’s in-house, manual-wind calibre 854/1, meticulously finished and assembled at the historic Manufacture in the Vallée de Joux. This Duoface reference is fitted with the highly desirable, original seven-link polished steel bracelet.

This watch is in good condition, showing modest signs of normal wear including scratches, scuffs, and dings on the case and bracelet. As shown in the photos, debris particles are present beneath both crystals. On the silver dial, there is a small opaque speck visible near the lower-right portion of the dial. On the black dial, there are several very tiny white specks around the center that appear consistent with subtle, age-related paint degradation. Additionally, the black dial side shows a superficial mark in the upper-left area of the crystal, which may be light adhesive residue or a blemish on the crystal itself. The hands on this side also show some visible surface wear. The movement is running properly with all functions operating as intended, though its service history is unknown. Measured on a timegrapher in a neutral position, the watch was running approximately one minute slow per day while maintaining a healthy amplitude above 280 degrees and beat errors of 0.4ms (black face up) and 0.7ms (silver face up).
