Introduced at SIHH 2019, the Montblanc Heritage Monopusher Chronograph is part of a collection inspired by the elegant timepieces produced by Minerva during the 1940s and 1950s.
Following Richemont's 2007 acquisition of Minerva, Montblanc has drawn extensively from the manufacture's design and technical heritage. The reference 119951 stands out with its monopusher configuration, operated via a single button integrated into the crown, offering a distinctive alternative to the conventional dual-pusher layout. Its 42mm stainless steel case pairs curved lugs with a domed box sapphire crystal, giving the watch an architectural presence that is distinctly vintage in character.
The silvery-white dial features a distinct "grené" or grained hour ring, with anthracite applied Arabic numerals, dots, and bent dauphine hands. At the 3 o'clock subdial is one of this monopusher's more charming details: a minutes counter marked at 3, 6, and 9, a nod to the era of coin-operated telephones when tracking call duration was a necessity. Subtle accents, including blued baton counter hands and a red-tipped central chronograph hand, introduce a welcome touch of color to the otherwise monochrome dial.
The caseback bears an engraving of the Minerva manufacture in Villeret, though the movement inside is the automatic Montblanc Calibre MB 25.12, a Sellita SW510-based caliber rather than an in-house movement found in Montblanc's five-figure watches. The trade-off brings a more accessible price point for a compelling and intuitive complication found in few other watches at this level.

This watch is in good condition, showing expected wear from normal use including scratches, scuffs, and dings. The case may have been refinished in the past, as the borders between the polished and brushed finishes on the lugs show some softness on close inspection.
