A cornerstone of Omega’s dive watch legacy, the Seamaster 300 ref. 165.024 carries the lineage of a model trusted by British Royal Navy divers and immortalized on the wrist of James Bond. This example, produced in 1966, features the rarer baton hands instead of the more common sword variety, paired with a beautifully preserved original matte black dial. Designed for ultimate legibility, the dial omits a date window and instead showcases large tritium lume plots and bold Arabic numerals at the cardinal points. Its 41mm twisted-lug case, produced by Huguenin Frères, remains strikingly modern in proportion, and houses the Omega caliber 550 — a no-date automatic movement believed to have been produced for the U.S. market due to mid-century import regulations. It comes with its original Omega flat-link bracelet with an adjustable clasp.

This watch is in great vintage condition, showing typical signs of wear from regular use. The dial is original and has not been refinished, with attractive patina and a likely relume. The baton hands also show patina and appear to have been relumed. The crystal is a generic replacement with visible scratches and some debris trapped beneath. The case and bracelet show surface scratches and minor dings, but no damage that cannot be restored if desired. The bracelet is sized for a 7.5" wrist and has a slight bend in one link (visible in the top-left of the front-facing photo), though this does not affect functionality. The spring bars appear jammed and may require a watchmaker’s assistance to remove the bracelet. The watch was tested in a neutral position on a timegrapher and runs at -8 seconds per day. All other components, including the bezel and crown, are believed to be original. Additional photos are available upon request.
