For Omega enthusiasts, the term “Moonwatch” refers to the Speedmaster’s historic role as the first watch worn on the moon. With the reference 311.30.44.32.01.001, that designation takes on a second meaning, thanks to a moonphase complication set within a blackened aventurine glass dial that evokes a star-filled night sky. A black ceramic tachymeter bezel frames the 44.25mm stainless steel case, slightly larger than the classic Speedmaster yet faithful to the model’s iconic asymmetrical profile and twisted lugs. Powering the watch is Omega’s manual-winding Calibre 1866, whose refined finishing can be admired through the sapphire exhibition caseback. Encircling the movement is the enduring inscription, “the first and only watch worn on the moon,” underscoring the Speedmaster’s historic role in lunar exploration and unparalleled place in horological history.

This watch is in very excellent condition with only light signs of careful wear. The case and bracelet were refinished by the previous owner and now present in an exceptionally clean state, with many surfaces appearing virtually mint. A few subtle imperfections remain from the refinishing process, visible only on close inspection. On the dial, the 3 o’clock index exhibits an extremely subtle clockwise tilt. The movement is running properly with all functions operating as intended. Additional photos are available on request.
