Panerai Luminor Marina 1950 ref. PAM00523

The Officine Panerai Luminor Marina, reference PAM00523, is the first model to combine the 42mm Luminor 1950 case with a clean white dial. This distinctive piece features a polished steel case and bezel, offset by the signature brushed crown-protecting bridge, which uses a lever mechanism to ensure water resistance of 100 meters. The white dial offers outstanding legibility, with bold black Arabic numerals, a date window at 3 o’clock, and a small seconds subdial at 9 o’clock — a layout rooted in Panerai’s 1940s heritage. Powering the watch is the in-house automatic P.9000 calibre, delivering a robust three-day power reserve from twin barrels, all developed and manufactured at Panerai’s Neuchâtel facility.

This watch is in overall great condition, showing typical signs of regular use. Scratches and scuffing are present on the lugs — most noticeably the top left — along with the bezel and case, as shown in the photos. There are no major dents or damage, and many of the marks could likely be polished out if desired. Other areas of the case exhibit only minor wear. The sapphire crystal shows some light marks, but the dial and hands remain pristine.
