This vintage Vacheron Constantin is a classic ultra-thin dress watch crafted from 18k gold.
The Vacheron Constantin reference 2093 is a vintage dress watch rendered in solid 18k yellow gold. Its tonneau case measures 33mm across and 39mm lug-to-lug, men’s proportions in the ’70s and ’80s that today are comfortably unisex. The matching gold dial is finished with subtle vertical brushing and kept deliberately simple, with stick indices and slender pencil hands. Inside is the hand-wound caliber K1014, which served as the backbone of the brand’s manual-wind dress watches for a quarter of a century and is based on the Jaeger-LeCoultre caliber 818. The slim movement keeps the case under 6mm thick, allowing the watch to slip easily beneath a shirt cuff.

This watch is in fair vintage condition, with noticeable wear from regular use, including scratches, scuffs, dents, and gouges. The case sides and the undersides of the lugs show discoloration and tarnishing, and there are visible pry marks from opening the caseback. The dial has age-related spotting and patina, particularly around the perimeter, along with some minor debris under the crystal.
The movement is running properly with all functions operating as intended, though its service history is unknown. Measured on a timegrapher in the dial-up position, this watch ran about one minute slow per day with an amplitude of 210° and a beat error of 0.6ms.
