  • The Zenith El Primero New Vintage 1969 40th Anniversary ref. 96.1969.469/77 was introduced in 2009 to celebrate four decades since the debut of the world’s first automatic high-frequency chronograph. Limited to only 250 pieces, it revives the angular tonneau-shaped A384 case, rendered here in lightweight, scratch-resistant black-coated titanium. Its open-worked dial reveals the front side of the El Primero caliber 469, a high-beat 36,000vph movement derived from the renowned caliber 400Z. The sapphire display back reveals a commemorative white 40th anniversary seal that underscores Zenith’s horological milestone.

  • This watch is in excellent condition, showing light signs of wear from modest use. There are a few small areas where some of the coating has been worn, but there are no significant chips or large portions missing. The movement is running smoothly with all functions operating as intended. Additional photos are available on request.

  • This watch comes with a Zenith service document from 2023. It does not include its original box or papers.
